“Derzer” is solid black with long hair and is a rumpy riser. He’s one of our kittens from 2012. He’s been our main stud to date. Pictured here, he’s at his very first show, at the age of four. He completed six rings easily to earn his CFA Championship. He’s sweet and enjoyed the experience. He wasn’t thrilled about the hair dryer so his show career and competing was short lived. He’s still making beautiful, sweet babies toas part of Karello Cattery’s legacy line.

She too has an awesome long hair coat like her mother, Amber. She came about her name because she often could be found standing in the water bowl playing and pawing as a kitten. She seemed more a duck, than a cat. She’s mother to Karello’s Roho Rogue and Remington.

“PJ” is a black and white tuxedo with long hair and a rumpy riser. He came to us courtesy of Kay, Terry and Harley DeVilbiss of MinusDeTails cattery in Texas. PJ was given his nickname as a kitten from Dorothy Seils, Kay and Terry because of how closely resembled his grandfather; Down Pat. PJ stands for “Pat Jr”.  We’re so proud of PJ, his babies and their accomplishments. We’re still breeding this line to date, it’s our “legacy line”. When you have a sound line, with boning, temperament and quality, why change. 

(PJ began siring litters for Karello Cattery in January of 2006. His kittens have his fantastic boning, size and darling personality.)

“Sambo” or “Bo Bo” is black with white lockets with a rumpy hi-riser. Sambo was our foundation male (sire we first began breeding with.) He sired many wonderful show cats and delightful, cherished pets over the 10 years we had him. We lost “Bo Bo” in March of 2006. He was the father to my favorite cats Sam and Tugger. PJ was then brought into our breeding program.

“Tony” is a brown classic tabby, with short hair and a dock tail. He was from my foundation pair, their first litter and used for a short time as our 2nd stud. He was a very sweet, loving and affectionate boy, nothing like his name would indicate. After the loss of his father, Sambo and with the addition of PJ to our breeding program, Tony moved into retired stud status and was placed.

“Star” is a black and white, with short hair and is a dimple rumpy. She came to us not long after Amber and Dottie, also from Jim and Sandi Defoe of Laport, Texas, formerly of Caitria Cattery. She was shown briefly as a young adult, as a whole cat, she’s didn’t carry enough weight to compete. She’s retired from breeder for a higher calling, my emotional support cat. She was there with me when Tugger and Cindy Crawford crossed over Rainbow Bridge. She’s mother to Karello’s All That Jazz and Ciaran.

“Cindy” is a tortoiseshell, smoke and white, long hair, dimple rumpy. She was a ONE SHOW GRAND, she earned 200 points at her first Champion show, which added the title of Grand Champion to her name. This title is often earned over several shows normally, so this is quit the accomplishment to have happen in just one show and her very first from moving out of Kitten Class. Later in that same show season (2007-2008) Cindy easily added Breed Winner (BW) to her titles, before reaching the age of a year old. April 2008, she kept going into heat when shown, so she was bred to PJ. April 2009 she was spayed and retired from breeding. Cindy was my princess, she went to Rainbow Bridge October of 2020 for nasal cancer after losing an eye. She’s missed to this day, I look forward to seeing her again someday.

“Miss A” is a tortoiseshell and white, long hair, rumpy. She’s littermate to GC, BW Karello’s Cindy Crawford. As a kitten she strutted around like she was hot stuff and she was a future Miss America. As time went by the name stuck. She’s quite the glamor girl, is sweet and has always been very easy going! She is mother to Karello’s WYD?. She still lives with me as of today at the ripe old age of 15 and is doing well.

She’s been retired and went with her niece Aria, to Canada to their forever home.

“Ebony” is black with a white locket, short hair, dock tail. She was a beautiful surprise out of Tahame’s Lilly who we never thought would get pregnant, but she did. She had several litters for us and was retied to live with her forever family where she had a long, pampered life, full of love and understanding with Lori and Andy. Andy contacted me many years later to let me know Ebony had crossed over Rainbow Bridge and was sadly missed.

“Tumalle” is red tabby and white, with short hair and a stumpy tail. Tumalle came to Karello Cattery 09/07/01. She produced fantastic show cats and highly sought-after pets. I loved this cat, we shared the same adoration for each other. She was so sweet and affectionate; it shows in every one of her pictures. She passed her great personality onto her kittens along with that sweet expression and great confirmation I love to breed for. She was mother to my 2 favorite cats, Sam and Tugger, as well as Amoura, Calleigh and many others. She was spayed in February 2008 and placed shortly thereafter in her forever home.

Tumalle earned the Distinguished Merit award title given in CFA to a cat which has produced the required number of Grand Champions, Grand Premiers or Distinguished Merit cats. The required number for females is 5, the required number for males is 15 then, recently changed to 10. “Lilly” is a tortoiseshell, with short hair and a dock tail. Lilly became available to our breeding program courtesy of Sherman Ross of Tahame Cattery. Sherman, who bred Manx for 25 years is now retired. However, he still finds time to contribute much to the breed and its breeders. Lilly’s stay with us was short but she gave us Ebony, Painted Lady, Sherman, Brix and Fox to name a few. Lilly was spayed and placed in 2006 as a beloved pet.

“Lady” is a red tabby, with short hair and a docked tail. Her kittens were some of our most memorable and cherished to date. To name a few, they were Oliver, Cami, Whimsey, Tallulah, Peeper and our beloved Samson. Samson was my daughter’s favorite cat she grew up with. He lived to be 15yrs old before crossing over to Rainbow Bridge.

“Snowy” is solid white, with short hair and a docked tail. She had a silly personality and was a lot of fun to have around. She’s mother to Yoda, Amadalla, Cracker and Lilly. She came to us courtesy Shirley Hemmingway in North Carolina, formerly of Slieu Cattery. Manx of our Manx breeders have retired from breeding or passed on. Each year our bred has less and less breeders and becomes ever more so rare. When I began breeding Manx, I never imagine I’d be breeding longer than most of the breeders I looked up to at that time. But here I am, nearly 30 years into breeding this wonderful breed, that I’m so proud of and has changed my life completely.
