This questionnaire is designed to collect information for a determination regarding prospective owner/buyer being considered for a Karello Manx feline. Information provided is confidential and will not be shared. If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss them. Please be sure to answer the questions as in depth as possible, more than Yes or No. Remember the purpose of these questions is to learn more about a prospective home and buyers. Karello Manx Cattery reserves the right to deny sale in the best interest of our felines and cattery. Competition of questionnaire does not guarantee placement.

YOUR DECISION

What is your reason for wanting to adopt a Manx or Cymric from Karello Cattery?

Do you want a Manx for a pet, to breed, to show, cat or kitten?

Are you willing to discuss your decision?

What type of personality are you looking for?

Would this feline be given as a gift or surprise?

If so, would the person getting it as a gift or surprise be ok with getting a feline?

Would you object to a conversation with prospective person about interest in a feline?

What will you do if feline allergies begin?

Does everyone in your residence agree to adopting a Manx and aware of the inside only requirement for a Manx?

If so, what kind? ages? Are they spayed/neutered? Up to date on immunizations and seen regularly by a veterinarian?

Would this be your first feline or pet?

Have you ever had to give up a feline or pet for any reason to an organization or individual?

If yes, for what reason?

Considering the below options, which ones would cause you to place or surrender this feline?

Divorce, separation, death, allergies, doesn’t use litter box, move no pets allowed, destructive to property, bites, swats, loses control of bladder/bowel, develops chronic illness, veterinarian bills, scratching, doesn’t get along with other animals.

If so, have you ever done the following?

Found it a home with friends or family, sell it, placed it with an adoption group, shelter or agency. Return to breeder or person from whom I got it, abandoned, drop off, let go outside, euthanized, take it to a farm.

How are current pets with cats or tiny kittens? Have they ever been around cats and kittens, children or other animals? The outcome?

What would you do if your new feline doesn’t get along with your present/future pet/s or current pet/s don’t get along with feline?

Have you considered expense, time and commitment required to care for and own a feline?

Where would a new feline be kept in your presence/absence?

If your present relationship/life were to change due to death, divorce, separation, loss of job, illness, etc. with whom will the feline remain? The feline’s Adoption Contracts states Breeder needs to be notified of changes. Do you object?

YOUR KITTENS/CATS FURURE

Where would the feline sleep at night? Do you plan to have litter boxes in more than one room for a kitten?

When you’re not there a stay in the hospital, go on vacation or visit a few days, who will care for the feline?

Your new feline could take up to two weeks or longer to adjust to your new home. Are you willing to allow time to adjust and contact Breeder with questions or concerns?

Would you object to Breeder inquiring/following up with calls and/or home visits to check on feline’s progress?

Will the new feline be allowed on your furniture, table or counters?

If no, why? What do you plan to do to discourage this behavior?

What is the name, address and phone number of your current veterinarian?

Do you object to Breeder calling your veterinarian to verify you’re a client and feline is being seen regularly?

Are you familiar with the feline diseases and know the importance to stay current on immunizations? Below are some common diseases (and uncommon) felines could possibly contract if left outdoors, not properly bred or immunized.

Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), Feline Panleukopenia (FP), Rabies, Feline Aids (FIV), Feline Leukemia (FeLV), Feline Enteric Corona Virus (FeCV) and Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)?
