Current Sires
CH, Karello’s Who’s Your Daddy? – “Derzer”
(CFA Champion)
Sire: (CFA) GC, BW, RW (CFA) IW, 13th Best Cat, SGC (TICA) MinusDeTails Northern Exposure
Dam: CH (CFA) Faerietail Black On Black
DOB: 12/16/2012

“Derzer” is solid black, long hair (Cymric) and is a rumpy riser. Derzer is our current top sire, out of our former Internationally ranked sire, MinusDeTails Northern Exposure “PJ”.
Derzer is one of our kittens from 2012. He’s been perpetuating our legacy, all these years. He makes fantastic, sweet tempered kittens, that have adorable personalities that are sound and healthy. Pictured at a show, at the age of four. And at home, at the age of twelve and now thirteen. Still siring kittens.
Derzer easily earned his CFA Championship. He enjoyed the experience, but wasn’t thrilled about the hair dryer. So, his show career was short. He’s at ease and comfortable being at home and fathering amazing kittens under our Cattery name.
Karello’s Chunky Monkey – “Monkey”
Sire: CH, Karello’s Who’s Your Daddy?
Dam: Karello’s Eris
DOB: 03/21/2022

“Monkey” is solid black, short hair (Manx) with a full tail. Monkey is really affectionate and loves attention. He’s a younger sire from my “Legacy Line”. A line I’ve been working with for 20 yrs, 3 generations out of my favorite sire MinusDeTails Northern Exposure”PJ”. Monkey is PJs grandson. He’s pictured here young, but has done a lot of filling out. I have high hopes for what he’s producing from his line for Karello Cattery in the future.

Past Sires and Dams
Past Sires
Lazytail Odhran of Karello – “Orin”
Sire: GC, Veranda Vie Victor of Lazytail
Dam: Lazytail Cali Del Rio
DOB: 09/24/2022

“Orin” is a white, long hair (Cymric) with a tail. He has been neutered and placed into a pet home, due to a serious genetic defect in offspring he’d produce. This genetic condition is called cryptorchid. Only one of his testicles dropped into its proper place, the other remained in his abdomen. (A second male we got for breeding from the same breeder and parents also had this condition. He was placed in a pet home and neutered.) We often keep kittens we produce for our breeding program and don’t only sell pets.
Cryptorchidism has no place in a responsible breeding program. Especially in the Manx and Cymric breed with an already small gene pool. CFA recommends culling the entire line from a breeding program. Cryptorchid cats display above normal masculine behaviors of spraying and aggression due to the continued production of testosterone from a displaced testicle. Neutering requires more time under anesthesia, two incisions instead of one and costs more. If not found and removed, the cat is also at greater risk of testicular neoplasia (cancer). The owner carries the biggest burden of cost for these breeding practices. Choose your breeder wisely!
Caitria’s Rudy O’Shay of Karello – “Rudy”
Sire: Caitria’s Jack Frost
Dam: Caitria’s Mardi Gras
DOB: 03/08/2016

“Rudy” is a red tabby and white, short hair (Manx), rumpy riser. Rudy came to us courtesy of Sandi and Jim Defoe, formerly of Caitria Cattery in LaPort, Texas. He’s a talker, is a big boy, with a charming personality and made us nice kittens. He enjoys attention and a scratch on the cheek. Pictured above, he’s sporting his “stud pants”. Rudy has been neutered and is happy in a new home. You’re presence is appreciated and we thank you for your service to our cattery.
GC, BW, RW, IW, SGC MinusDeTails Northern Exposure – “PJ”
Grand Champion, Breed Winner, Regional Winner (CFA)
International Winner, Supreme Grand Champion
13th Best International Cat (TICA)
Sire: GC, MinusDeTails Nacho Ordinaire
Dam: MinusDeTails X’s and O’s
DOB: 05/28/02

“PJ” is a black and white tuxedo with long hair (Cymric) and a rumpy riser. He came to us courtesy of Kay, Terry, and Harley DeVilbiss of MinusDeTails cattery in Texas. PJ was given his nickname as a kitten from Dorothy Seils, Kay, and Terry because he closely resembled his grandfather, Down Pat. PJ stands for “Pat Jr.” We’re so proud of PJ, his babies, and their accomplishments. Words could never reflect his importance in my breeding program.
We lost PJ at age 10, we’re still breeding his line to date, it’s our “legacy line.” When you have a sound line, with boning, temperament, and quality, why change! (PJ began siring litters for Karello Cattery in January of 2006. His kittens have his fantastic boning, size, and darling personality.) This was my all-time favorite sire. Thank you, Kay, Terry, and PJ, for your service and legacy to the Manx and Cymric breed.

“Sambo” or “Bo Bo” is black with white lockets, short hair (Manx), rumpy hi-riser. Sambo was our foundation male (sire we first began breeding with.) He sired many wonderful show cats and delightful, cherished pets over the 10 years we had him. We lost “Bo Bo” in March of 2006. He was the father to my favorite cats Sam and Tugger. PJ was then brought into our breeding program. Thank you for your service.

“Tony” is a brown classic tabby, with short hair (Manx) and a dock tail. He was from my foundation pair, their first litter and used for a short time as our 2nd stud. He was a very sweet, loving and affectionate boy, nothing like his name would indicate. After the loss of his father, Sambo and with the addition of PJ to our breeding program, Tony moved into retired stud status and was placed.
